With a solid top five finish in the Houston Grand Prix event, and a blistering qualifier that put him on the front row WSM driver Adrian Carrio has taken over the lead in the Star Mazda Championship. “Ace really came through in the final laps of the qualifying session,” said Team Owner Telo Stewart. “We’re really proud of Ace and the fact that his consistent driving has us leading the championship.”
The team now heads to the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in one weeks’ time for Round Three of the Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear to be held in conjunction with the American Le Mans Series at Mid-Ohio on May 18-20. Round two from Houston is scheduled to air at 5:00 PM Eastern Time on Sunday, May 28.
