The Development Ladder

Since 1991, World Speed Motorsports has focused on providing opportunities to up and coming racers. Some of the racers who took their first forays into open wheel have included Scott Speed, Sage Karam, Michael Self, and Conor Daly.

In 2014, World Speed partnered with VMB Driver Development to provide scholarships to talented young drivers. These drivers have won races in every class that they have competed in.

Below is a look at four of the program’s recent graduates who won championships during the program and have moved up in professional motorsports.

What Do These Talented Racecar Drivers All Have in Common?

4 Time Rolex Champion Memo Rojas

2017 Indy Lights Champion Kyle Kaiser

IndyCar Legend Lyn St. James

They each had a specific motorsports need, and they turned to World Speed Motorsports for a well thought out professional solution.  Rojas needed to get some experience at Sonoma Raceway before an important event (he was leading the Daytona Prototype championship at the time), Lyn St. James was invited to compete in a more modern formula car than she had previously raced in and she wanted some testing prior to the event, and Kyle Kaiser was looking to graduate from Skip Barber school racing towards IndyCars.

Solutions Were Developed And Provided:

Kaiser spent three years with World Speed Motorsports training in a safe, encouraging, and competitive environment that allowed him to develop into the competitor and champion that he is today. Lyn St. James and Memo Rojas were provided with exclusive laser-focused test days with World Speed to prepare for their upcoming events. Each driver was provided with a custom solution that helped move them closer to their goal.
