World Speed’s legacy of nurturing talented drivers from diverse backgrounds continues to flourish in 2024. Several of IMSA’s Drive For Diversity candidates honed their skills through World Speed’s programs and benefitted from the VMB Driver Development Scholarships.

The IMSA Diverse Driver Development Scholarship Program champions inclusion by empowering racers from various backgrounds to compete in IMSA-sanctioned series. This annual program offers significant financial support from IMSA, its corporate partners, and industry resources to elevate deserving drivers.

Following Jaden Conwright’s groundbreaking win as the inaugural recipient in 2022, Courtney Crone took home the award in 2023. Both drivers are VMB Scholarship recipients and have achieved remarkable success: Conwright clinched the 2014 Formula Car Challenge championship with World Speed’s guidance, while Crone dominated the 2018 season in the same series.

Beyond Conwright and Crone, here a a few more World Speed affiliated racers who have garnered the IMSA Diversity program’s attention:

  • Kyle Loh:
A champion in FIA F4 and F3 with World Speed’s backing, Kyle now serves as the team’s open-wheel driver coach.
  • Bryson Lew:
A VMB Scholarship nominee, Bryson secured numerous podium finishes and a victory at Willow Springs with World Speed in the FormulaSPEED2.0 series.
  • Cameron Parsons:
After testing with World Speed and winning the Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear Championship (promoted by WSM), Cameron now races in the WSM-designed FormulaSPEED2.0.
