MillerMotorsportsParkWorld Speed Motorsports, which guided Adrian Carrio to the championship in the 2006 Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear, returned to the site of one of Carrio’s victories as the team campaigned several Star Mazda West Coast Championship regulars at Miller Motorsports Park for Round Four of the Star Mazda Championship.

“As administrators of the Russell Pro Series and Star Mazda West Coast Championship it has been a very busy season for everyone at World Speed Motorsports so it was nice to return to a track that has fond memories for the team,” explained team owner Telo Stewart. “We were able to work the schedule so this race would also count towards the West Coast Championship and fielded four drivers for the event.”

Leading the charge for World Speed Motorsports this weekend were Aspen, Colorado resident Richard Fullerton in the #55 RBF Capital Mazda; Vancouver, British Columbia native Chris Cumming in the #26 90-degree Software Mazda; Hayden Lake, Illinois resident Stan Kohls in the #8 World Speed Motorsport Mazda and Jackson Hole , Wyoming resident Claudio Cornali in the #7 World Speed Motorsport Mazda.

Fullerton would take the top spot for West Coast Championship competitors, finishing fourteenth overall in the field of twenty-five cars, with Cumming finishing second (17th overall), Kohls finishing third (19th Overall) and Cornali taking the fourth spot (21st Overall).  All drivers finished on the lead lap.

World Speed Motorsports will travel with the main championship to Portland International Raceway for Round Five of both the West Coast Championship and Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear to be held on June 8-9 in conjunction with the Champ Car World Series Portland Grand Prix.
