Thirty three drivers competed at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in the first of six doubleheader race weekends on the 2023 calendar. There was a deep pool of talent including Rolex 24 overall winners, ex-IndyCar drivers, and multiple IMSA series champions.
“Overall we feel like we had a very successful weekend,” stated team principal Telo Stewart. “Performance-wise the car is in the window, and all of our drivers got faster with each session. We finished both races well, and secured points in both classes. We learned a lot, and will take that knowledge and apply it to our next event.”
Next up for the World Speed Super Trofeo team is some additional testing prior to rounds three and four that take place at Watkins Glen International (June 22-25)
