World Speed took three contenders to the Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda season finale at Circuit of The Americas this past weekend. Nearly 40 racers lined up to take the green for the Formula One style standing start during the United States Grand Prix. Thirty-eight F4 U.S. Championship drivers representing nine countries and 12 states shared the same track as their F1 idols. (Breaking the international FIA F4 single-event entry record)

300,000 fans were in attendance for the Formula One event, and the F4 racers were limited on available track time. The weekend started with a practice session, followed quickly by the one and only qualifying session. A red flag in the session came out before any of the World Speed drivers were up to speed. All three drivers had times that were over two seconds below their respective practice times, and this would grid them further back in the field. World Speed drivers still made terrific headway in the races and all three were able to improve their overall starting positions.

Round 16

Amanda Cartier improved 6 positions
Round 17
Courtney Crone improved 5 positions
Kyle Loh improved 1 positions
Amanda Cartier improved 2 positions

“The whole team did a great job, stated Team Owner Telo Stewart. “We didn’t get it done in qualifying, and that made the rest of the weekend an uphill battle, but we completed every lap, had good pace in practice, and finished with two cars in the top 15 in race one.
