TWO MORE!! 54 points and two more race wins! Another perfect weekend at Sonoma Raceway!
We were up to speed quick on Thursday and felt comfortable all weekend. It was nonstop action every session with 30+ cars on track and constant, shifting winds. It’s always a fun challenge working the traffic at Sonoma. On Friday, we managed to bank a decent time in qualifying and put the car safely on pole. Saturday morning we locked it in.

I started race one in the center of the field with the next F4 directly behind. Race plan was to put as many of the Formula Mazdas (FM) between us as fast as possible, so that’s what I did. After a few laps of pushing hard, I had built a 14 second lead; from there we coasted to a win and saved some tire for Sunday.

Sunday’s race was more action-packed. Most of the Mazdas had improved their qualifying times during race one, which meant I was now starting near the back. I had a wicked start and gained six positions in the first lap, giving a nice buffer to my opponents in F4. From there, I found myself in the middle of a 5-way fight for fastest among the Formula Mazdas. I pulled off a few nice passes and was up into 3rd of the FM class for a while. Lots of fun fighting with those guys even if it wasn’t for position. I was in a comfortable first place in the F4 class when the checkered flag flew, further extending my points lead.

I’m feeling confident after a great weekend, but there’s always more speed to find. Only two weeks until rounds 5 & 6 at Laguna Seca and I plan to keep pushing hard for wins.

I couldn’t have made it here without the continued support from each and every one of my sponsors and donors. It means a lot and I’m glad I can finally share some wins. Thanks to all for being a part of this with me.

Sincerely-
