Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear Update
The FCC is now the most popular junior open wheel series on Facebook
The Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear has been taking over the nation. Last season the series held events at Infineon Raceway, MSR-Houston, Texas World Speedway, Thunderhill Raceway Park, Road Atlanta, Roebling Road, Grattan Raceway, Summit Point Motorsports Park, Virginia International Raceway, Blackhawk Farms, Texas Motor Speedway, Eagles Canyon, Miller Motorsports Park, and Road America.
Two of the 2010 FCC events had 35 cars on the grid making them the largest open wheel races in the country. "We had two events last year with that many cars, and we expect the same number of racers for the 2011 season," noted Series Official Ben Hettema.
The West Coast Region is partnered with Goodyear, Mazda USA, MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development, Red Line Oil, and NASA Pro Racing. The West Coast Region is promoted by World Speed Inc.

FormulaSPEED2.0 Update
Prototype testing has been completed, and the FS2.0 is now in production. A lot of new people have been getting behind the wheel lately, and experiencing the all new design.
"We are proud that the FS2.0 has met all of our performance and maintenance objectives," noted project manager Mark Milazzo. "It did take us a little longer than anticipated to get the car into production, but we think that the wait was definitely worth it. The car features only the highest quality components, and is designed to contain costs and be simple to maintain."
Here is what the test drivers have said about the FormulaSPEED2.0
- "Easy predictable handing"
- "Very fun, and easy to drive fast"
- "Sharp appearance & nice cockpit fit"
- "Amazing grip"
- "I want one! Beats the hell out of a Radical!"
The FS2.0 is legal for SCCA and NASA competiton, but was specifically designed for the Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear. The FCC Winter Series starts in November and new FS2.0 owners can get a jump on the 2012 season by getting in some testing AND racing over the winter break.
