Chris Cumming Podiums in Round Nine, and Secures Another Top 5 in Round Ten at MidOhio Sports Car Course

 

CummingGT3PorscheChris Cumming and the World Speed Motorsports crew had another successful race weekend in their Porsche GT3. The team traveled to the Patrón GT3 Challenge double header at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. With two solid top five finishes at the event, Cumming moves into fourth place in the overall championship. “Chris did a great job all weekend, and we are very proud of the progress he has been making in his and our first season of competition in the series,” stated WSM Team Manager John Olsen.

A comprehensive motorsports facility, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course features a permanent roadracing circuit with two primary configurations: a 2.4-mile, 15-turn, and a 2.25-mile, 13-turn circuit. Located 60 miles north of Columbus and 75 miles south of Cleveland near Mansfield, the track has been called “the Most Competitive in the U.S.” and annually hosts a diversity of locally, regionally and nationally sanctioned racing events for amateur, club and professional drivers and riders.

 

The Speed TV production of Rounds 9 and 10 of the Patrón GT3 Challenge by Yokohama is scheduled to air on September 5 at 1:00 am EDT. The 2010 season of the Patrón GT3 Challenge continues August 20-22, with Rounds 11 and 12 held in conjunction with the 2010 Road America Showcase in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
