KoolToyota BarPalm Springs, California (May 22,1999)-Watch closely, don’t blink… and you just might be able to catch a glimpse of the gold and black #14 World Speed Motorsports/Red Line Oil, Martini Sunglasses Swift 008.a car speeding by with Kool/Toyota Atlantic driver Nicolas Rondet at the wheel. Rondet is making his second oval appearance at Gateway International Speedway on Saturday, May 29, part of the Miller Lite 200 CART FedEx Championship weekend.

“I am looking forward to running in Illinois. I’m glad to have an oval race under my belt (Nazareth), and now I have a better idea of what to expect going into Gateway. The car is ready, the crew is ready and I am ready to tackle oval number two,” said Rondet.

Nicolas has made a strong impression in his first full Atlantic season, “Nicolas certainly has surprised a lot of people and proved that he’s more than capable of running up front,” said Chuck West, owner of World Speed Motorsports. “He clearly brings the experience and expertise to put us in the position to challenge for the championship.”

The race will be televised Saturday, June 5 at 3:00 pm Eastern on espn2, with repeat broadcasts on Tuesday, June 8 at 5:00 am, and Friday, June 11 at 4:00 am. Round four of the 1999 Kool/Toyota Atlantic Championship is scheduled for Saturday, June 5 at the Milwaukee Mile, part of the Miller Lite 225 CART FedEx Championship weekend.
