Ace Carrio Finishes Top Ten at Mid Ohio May 23, 2005 Ace Carrio qualified 8th, and finished 8th at Mid Ohio this weekend in his first Star Series race with World Speed Motorsports. "We had set a goal of finishing in the top 15 for the first event, and we are very proud of Ace and the entire team for meeting the goal, said Team Owner Telo Stewart. We will raise the target for next weekend, and it won't be long before you see Ace on the podium." Ace's father Glen had this to add, "I am elated with the results from Mid-Ohio. The World Speed crew was impressive in their dedication, preparation and tireless work. I can say thank you and great job, but it does not express the deep gratitude I have for the entire team." Patrick O'Neill also participated in the weekend, and was able to secure valuable points that will insure his grid position in the Montreal F1 event. Montreal is the next stop on the Star Series calendar, and WSM will have three cars entered at this prestigious event. Carrio and O'Neill will be back along with WSM veteran Frank McCormick. The Star Mazda Championship will now travel to the Gilles Villeneuve Circuit in Montreal, Canada, for Round Four of the championship on June 10-11 as part of the Formula One Grand Prix of Canada activities. Round Three from Mid-Ohio will be televised on Speed Channel on June 5th at 1:00 PM Eastern Time. For Official Series Results and Information visit:
