World Speed Motorsports just completed two promoter testing days at Sebring International Raceway as they gear up for race one of the 2008 Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear. The test was attended by World Speed drivers Chris Cumming, Eric Freiberg, and Taylor Hacquard.

Chris Cumming who won the 2007 Star Mazda West Coast Championship is looking to add the Expert Star Mazda Series Championship to his growing collection of trophies. He is off to a great start by being the fastest Expert driver in every session during the two day test.

Taylor Hacquard and Eric Freiberg have shown well as they look to vie for the overall championship. Freiberg was as high as 5th, and Hacquard as high as 11th on the official timing sheets. "We are spending these days gathering as much information about the new radial tires, and also trying a variety of car settings," stated Telo Stewart, World Speed's Team Owner. "Both Eric and Taylor have been competitive in the sections that are the biggest concerns and we expect the cars and both drivers to be ready to go come qualifying."

The first official practice session of the weekend is scheduled to take the green flag at 12:40 pm on Wednesday, March 12. Qualifying is scheduled for 1:20 pm to 2:05 pm Thursday, March 13. Round One of the 2008 Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear will take the green flag at 2:50 pm, Friday, March 14.
