Looking to lock driver and team championships

A portion of the World Speed Motorsports team is packed up and heading to Monterey this weekend to contest the Star Mazda Series driver’s and team championships. WSM’s driver Adrian ‘Ace’ Carrio has a very strong lead in the driver’s championship, and the team has a shot at the Team Championship as well. “ It’s pretty amazing that we are this far up in the team championship as most entrants have multiple cars collecting points, and we just have the #14,” said Telo Stewart the team owner. The team is currently second in the team standings.
Joining the Star Series finale for World Speed Motorsports will be #26 Chris Cumming who raced at Montreal, and Portland this year along with Dave House in the #86.
The team members who are not traveling down to Laguna for the Star finale will be keeping busy as 10 Pro Formula Mazdas will be competing in the Russell Pro Series race at Infineon Raceway on the same day. Star Mazda Official updates & Live Timing >>
